Creating a youth led movement

What does “Youth Led” mean?

A group of people with a shared vision for change, with the predominant decision makers aged between 15-30 years old. Such groups encourage community participation and engagement, and facilitate youth empowerment. This definition is not just restricted to those groups just addressing youth affairs, but any satisfying the previous criteria.

In layman’s terms – if you’re a young person or group of young people leading change in your community you are part of the youth led movement. We’re here to help, guide and support you.

Youthled.org.au is a new resource for young people making change in their communities through youth led initiatives and organisations. You can also follow them on Facebook at Youth Led Australia.
