Jan Owen shares one of her inspirations…

“Oh the Places You’ll Go” by Dr Seuss is my favourite book and captures FYA’s attitude to young people.

 

Young people have brains in their head.

They have feet in their shoes.

They can steer themselves

in any direction they choose!

 

FYA is relentlessly optimistic about the power and ability of young Australians to shape their education and create social change.

 

Our collective role is to liberate, harness and appreciate the essential and unique contribution of young people.

 

We work to unleash their brilliance. And also to prepare them to navigate those times when they come to that place ‘where the streets are not marked’ so that no matter who they are, no matter where they are, all young Australians live, learn and lead with courage, imagination and will.
